Dance Oasis is an immersive dance and music experience set in a rare handmade tropical oasis in London. Join us on Saturday 27th July, 2013 at Canning Town Caravanserai for an afternoon of live music and creative belly dance.

Our Stars

Alyah Shimmyqueen​​ Alyah is trained in many different dance styles but is deeply passionate about belly dancing and has been a resident dancer for over three years at Arabesque Nights, London showcase. She is a national & international performer and and is currently studying the JWAAD Diplomas in Teaching & Performance.
Helen Hosein Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Helen Hosein is known for her innovative approach to fusion choreography. She has studied myriad forms of dance in a never-ending search for new movement with which to enrich and embroider her creations. Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Choreography and Performance from Wesleyan University.
Roxane Grant​​ Roxane has been dancing since 2009 and has been enjoying every moment since! She has had the opportunity to perform abroad in Finland and has gone on tour with the cast of One Day in Istanbul. This was a theatrical production created by Dunya Bellydance and Ozgen that has performed to packed shows in both London and Leeds. Most recently she was a finalist in the 2013 season of Bellydance Trophies and won 3rd place.
Sureya​​​ Sureya is a lively Turkish belly dancer based in London and is currently studying at the Melissa Bellydance school. She is trained in a range of styles including Turkish Oryantal, Egyptian, Tribal Fusion and Belly dance Hip Hop and is part of semi-professional dance troupe Mahira (managed by Melissa Bellydance).
Caasi​​​

Caasi is a London based bellydancer who started her career as a professional contemporary dancer before being lured into the sparkly and exotic world of bellydance and has never looked back! She now travels all round the UK and abroad to perform at every kind of event, from festivals and concerts to weddings and parties. She has also appeared on BBC TV and MTV. In 2011 Caasi was very proud to be crowned 2nd place winner of The Miss Bellydance UK competition.

Michael Azzato​​ Michael discovered Oriental dance through his fondness for Egyptian music which he initially found through Beledi. He soon begun taking lessons with Shafeek Ibrahim, and has enjoyed workshops with Melanie Norman, Tito Seif, Asmahan of Cairo, and Yasmina of Cairo. He has performed at various events and showcases around London such as The Arab Quarterly and also enjoyed performing in the Warrington section of the BDSS club bellydance tour.
Skara​​​ Skara has started performing as a teenager, acting and dancing in Martinique, French West-Indies. She has won competitions in Latin and African dance. Then she started Bellydance in London 7 years ago. Skara now performs and teaches across the UK. She started a dance company, Red Glass Sky, in 2003.
 Žana​​​ Miss Bellydance UK 2012, JoY's Rising Star 2012, Vice Miss Bellydancer of the World in Folklore 2011, and many other titles, Zana is an accomplished, multi-faceted international dancer. Originally from Bosnia and currently living in London, Zana has performed in Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Brazil and Croatia and has also taught in the US, UK, and Norway. She has just recently produced her first DVD, Double Veil Delight, which is now available via her website: www.Zana-DanceArtist.com
